  The meaning of blood in Lev 17

  i have a question about what was allowed/disallowed about eating blood in old testament israel.

  not necessarily how jw see it, but how it is explained in general, although this question came to my mind after discussion with a jw, mainly based on leviticus 17.. .

  Why have you remained theists?

  i realize many on this forum are atheist, and theres many threads to show why.

  some believe creationist lack knowledge or understanding and that we are too ignorant to realize there isn't a creator.. i have studied (not in depth) first year college science, and am studying medical/health currently.

  i am also very interested in astronomy, and have learned a little in that area.

  Well to be honest, I like the thought of eternal life much better than eternally pushing up daisys.

  I like biblegateway.com as i can easily compare many scriptures. Very telling when doing so in conjunction with the NWT.

  JW's - Hard to admit that much of life was a waste

  from my observations, i think many (especially older) jw's hold through the stupid doctrinal changes because they can't admit the alternative.. i had wished the jw kingdom hope was true, i needed it to be true.

  i'm 5th generation and my parents, grandparents, great grand.....ect needed it to be true.

  i have watched many "faithful" relatives hang on and die disappointed.

  we've all seen the line-by-line comparison of john 1:1 with the addition of "a god" when "was god" is visible in the left margin under "theos" in the infamous grimace/barney/grape crush purple bible book.

  i'd check for myself, but unfortunately, i hastily rid my house of all things wt in a purging fit while beginning my fade.

  and let me tell you, the fire was spectacular!

  New Literature Arrangement

  just recently the org has changed the literature distribution to the congregation members.. the changes are:.

  1) publishers are to pick-up their mag's weekly in preparation for what they think they will use that week.

  2) group conductors shall now distribute the study article of the wt, and the km.. wonder why they have changed this?.

  It is just easier to hand it out with the km so that each person that attends the meeting regularly will have a copy. Since the study copy of the mag is not used in the ministry the effort is to keep from throwing away as few unused copies as possible at the end of the month. The same goes with the km.
